The Birth Story of Annie | Seattle Birth Photographer

While I sit here and share the story of the birth of their daughter, I am undoubtably thankful for their doctors, the hospital staff – including all their lovely nurses – for their delivery in a hospital, and of course for a healthy delivery.

It was a very early morning when I met them at Evergreen Hospital. I entered a quiet room, full of concentration, such pain on her face and a new father quite overwhelmed with emotion. This was just the beginning of their journey. The transition from labor to delivery wasn’t easy. There was a moment of sheer panic when Annie’s heartbeat couldn’t be heard….a near emergency c-section delivery. This part of their story I have purposefully left out. That moment has left me feeling more thankful than ever for hospital births, the thought of not getting to a distressed baby in time pains me.

And, as I watched Annie come into this world I couldn’t be more relieved. That fleeting moment of them meeting their child for the first time, there’s nothing like it in the world. The most amazing, perfect gift.

This is the birth story of Annie.

Portraits | Small Business Owners & Corporates

Hello, it’s been a busy few weeks.

Lately, I’ve been doing portraits for large and small businesses who need individual ‘head-shots’ for their profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook, websites, editorials, and for the usual business material, etc. I thought I’d share with you some of my favorites as of late.

Meghan - Trevor!!!! These are great.

The Doyle Boys | Kirkland Park Children Photography

These boys are too much. I get to see them every few months and they continually amaze me. They’ve grown up to be such buddies. How special for me not only document their lives, but to watch them develop into such characters and spunky personalities.

I love this of Theo peeking at me, as I tried to sneak up on them.

Pumpkin Patch

For my birthday we went to the pumpkin patch, I’m all about being very festive this season now that we have Emily. All I wanted was our girl with her pumpkin, and if I got really lucky some of her smiling. Turns out she took this day pretty seriously.
