The last time I photographed Cole was the day he was born, you may remember their birth story here. He’s grown so much since then – lots of cheeks, a rolly tummy and bright blue eyes. He’s the cutest little thing. I will always remember his birthday, how he needs a quiet room when feeding (he’s a very serious eater), and his perfectly combed hair;) It’s been such a joy to see this family grow and watch Rob & Keely love on their child. He’s changed their world, life is so much sweeter.

What a beautiful family you have, LOVE how Cole has brought so much happiness to your lives. My love to all 3 of you, xoxox

Wendy + Joe | Downtown Seattle Wedding

They say a picture speaks a thousand words…and, I couldn’t agree more. So, I will keep it simple here and let the images tell the story of Wendy & Joe’s wedding. I loved every moment this day. Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous, every tiny detail made everything so perfect.

The day started at the The Heathman Hotel and ended at the Knights of Columbus in downtown Seattle.

While Wendy was getting ready, my lovely assistant Julie was getting these shots of Joe.

Off to get married at the Chapel of St. Ignatius in Seattle.

Denny & His Girls | Family Shoot at Bastyr Park

So lovely, these girls. I have to admit, the four of them together made me a little homesick, for my own dad. I remember when I was at each of their ages, how my dad influenced each point in my life. My best friend and the guy who grounded the deepest protection of my heart. Their interaction with their dad is very sweet, I knew they all shared a close bond with him just by the way they looked at each other. I was deeply touched by their love. And, not to mention their sisterly love as well, it made my heart swell.

A Major Update

It’s been a tad busy around here lately, so I thought I’d post an update to show you what I’ve been up to these past few weeks….I have 5 beautiful weddings and a handful of families & children to share.

Here is a glimpse of what is to come.

This is Holly, just before she gave birth to their little girl.

Wendy & Joe were married at the Chapel of St. Ignatius that followed an amazing reception at the Knights of Columbus. It was beyond gorgeous!

Tara & Peter are getting married at the Mazama Ranch House this September….I can hardly wait.

Cole Robert had his first photo shoot, he’s starting to get some cheeks;)

Jenny & Logan welcomed their sweet boy Elis, their birth was beyond incredible….I can’t wait to share their story.

Wendy + Joe | Golden Gardens Engagement

From the moment I met these two, I knew we would have a lot of fun…and I knew that underneath Joe’s quiet smile there was a comedian. This was the first time I got to see these two together, as they both live in Maryland. Wendy & Joe met at law school, fell in love and like they say, the rest is history.

In the midst of their wedding celebrations, we met at the lovely Golden Gardens in Ballard. I got them all to myself for a few hours before they left for a dreamy boat ride that evening. Their wedding weekend was planned so perfectly, everyone they love was there to celebrate with them. And their wedding, to die for gorgeous. More of that to come in a few….

But, first, here is Wendy + Joe just before their wedding day.

Erin & Chad | Sanders Mansion Wedding

Erin & Chad couldn’t have picked a more perfect day for their wedding, it was gorgeous. Their wedding was held at the Sanders Mansion in Kent, WA, a charming house built back in 1912 with acres of farmland. Every moment they shared was surrounded by their loved ones and filled with tons of laugher and tears. There wasn’t a dull moment, this group really knows a good time.

It was beautiful day. Congratulations again, you both make a lovely pair!

Annie & Claire | Seattle Newborn Photographer

These two beautiful little girls stole my heart. One completely calm and quiet, the other willing to share her every opinion. Both easy to soothe by their parents voices and both so darling I couldn’t stop staring at them.

I met Beth and Scott at their house for the babies first shoot, (just like I always do with newborn sessions). And, the girls couldn’t be more happy and comfortable for their pictures, true naturals already. They slept like champs and smiled at the most perfect times. It also helped a ton that their parents were right there to comfort them. I always love watching new moms and dads with their babies, my absolute favorite is listening to their conversations. I find it so fascinating how the babies can always find their parents voice, how they turn their head to listen to their mom or dad talk to them. Priceless. I could see right through Scott and Beth, their happiness truly shines when they’re with these girls.

Jenny + Logan | Seattle Maternity Photography

I always ask my clients to pick their locations for our shoots. I want them to choose somewhere meaningful, a place where they have memories. It helps me tell their story.

A special spot hidden in the middle of Whidbey Island is Logan’s family cabin, where he spent most of his free time growing up. It’s also a place where he asked Jenny if she would marry him. Years later, they still visit the cabin. It’s their home away from home. I love they have somewhere they can keep coming back to and relive their memories, including this day when I photographed them together in anticipation of their little boy’s arrival.

Jenny, your smile couldn’t be more happy, you look amazing carrying your new world. I can’t wait to meet your little guy.

The Birth of Cole Robert | Seattle Birth Photography

I’ve never felt such heavy emotion. The birth of their son is such a beautiful story, I am so moved.

I remember walking into their room, all was quiet and calm. I could see her concentrating with each breath, determined for a natural delivery. Her husband was by her side at every moment holding her hands, weeping at times because all the emotion was just too much. It was happening so quickly. Before I knew it, Keely had their son in her arms, the smile on her face still overwhelms me. And, the moments following make me completely speechless. The birth of this child was magic.

Thank you again Keely and Rob, for letting me share the day your son was born. I feel incredibly privileged to have witnessed such a miracle, thank you for giving me such an amazing opportunity. All my love to you, xoxox

Payden & Landon | Seattle Children Photography

Despite the pouring rain we had this day, they still kept smiling. These two boys are cousins, who happen to have birthdays pretty close together. So, this shoot was all about celebrating another year of their lives. We met at Juanita Bay Park, one of my favorite spots for the lush greenery and the boardwalks. It was my first time meeting Landon, my goodness he’s darling, and my second time seeing Payden. He’s grown up so much since I photographed him, click here if you want to see the portrait shoot I did of his family last year.

Here is Landon, just over 1 year old. He’s walking…..I should say running like a champ. He’s pure joy, and the dimples on his cheeks makes me just melt.

And, here is Payden at 6 years. He still looks just like his gorgeous mom.
