Sweet, simple and downright romantic.

In the short time I was with this couple, I knew they come from big love. And, the feeling of their love was on their smiles, along with everyone else around them. It was truly lovely to witness.

I’ve been photographying chid birth for almost 4 years now. What started off as a personal project for me, has led to a full on service I’ve been offering to my clients. What has been so rewarding for me, is the outreach I’ve received from other photographers from around the country, and world. I get questions like:  What equipment do you use? When do you leave for the birth and how long do you stay? How do you offer such an unexpected service, while still maintaining your business and personal life? How do you market yourself?

I’m not an expert birth photographer, but like any craft, we learn and perfect as we go. I wrote this guide because I want to share what I’ve learned over the years. This is truly from my experience only. This is for the photographer interested in adding this to their repertoire of photographic services.

My wish is that birth photography will be embraced, and that it will be SEEN as a beautiful event, not a gross painful ugly thing. It should be celebrated, because it is a day parents never want to forget.
